As a content creator
I want to be able to identify at a glance which Content have Guest View permissions and which don’t on the page Content tab of a Page, on the tab of Web Content, etc
So that I’m aware of what content is public.
Context:
There are several challenges regarding the usage of Private Pages, as their behavior is not very intuitive so the user is confused by it. We would like to be able to give the users the main functionalities Private Pages offer without the need of using them.
When a Site had only Private pages on it, the content was always created by default with no Guest view permissions. We would like to give the users a visual feedback to easily identify if the content is “private” or not.
Use cases:
User is on web content and want to easily identify the “private” content
Actor: Content Creator
The content creator goes to the Web Content section on their site. The content creator has previously created several content, some of it with Guest View permissions and some of them without it. The content creator on the table and list views, wants to see at first sight, through an icon, what content does not have Guest View permission. The content creator hovers over the icon and have written information of what does the icon means. The content creator clicks to edit a content that has the icon on it. The content creator is able to also see the icon from the editor view. The content creator changes the permissions of the content and gives Guest View permissions. When the content creator come back to the editor view, the icon is not longer there.
User easily selects “private” content to map it
Actor: Content Creator
The content creator is creating a Page. The content creator selects a fragment and place it to the page. They select a field of the fragment to map content on it. When selecting what content to be mapped they can easily identify through an icon what icon does not have Guest View permissions, so they can select the content according to the page permissions.
Requirements:
When in the Admin View for WC, a
permissions
icon will be visible for the content that doesn't have Guest View permissions. The
permissions
icon will be placed next to the WC title in the card, list, and table views. The
permissions
icon will be placed next to the WC title in the WC editor. In the Item Selector, we must also indicate the content that doesn't have Guest View permissions with the
permissions
icon. Card, List and Table views. When hover over the
permissions
icon a tooltip should appear with "Not Visible to Guest Users" text on it.The
permissions
icon needs to receive focus. When focusing on the lock icon, the same tooltip will appear. We should replace the
lock
icon of pages ( ) for thepermissions
iconAccessibility should be tested in this story.
