liferay 6.1 GA1 new install browsing to Private Site and Organization Not asking for login

Description

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Control Panel -> Sites

  2. Add -> Community/Intratnet Site

    • Name the site

    • Set Membership Type to 'Private'

    • Copy As 'Private Pages.'

  3. Save

  4. Navigate to created site page

  5. Copy URL (example: 'http://localhost:8080/group/test-site/home')

  6. Logout

  7. Navigate to created site page (example: 'http://localhost:8080/group/test-site/home')

  8. Guest will be able to view page

Previously, Guest users would be directed to the sign in page. This is a regression bug.

This also happens when creating a private organization..

*This affect pages created using site templates:

Community Site - Home, Calendar, Wiki
Intranet Site - Home, Documents and Media, Calendar, News

Tomcat 7 + MySQL 5. 6.1.x GIT ID: b21795a382bb7dea90bc58a147d6ed0bd32294de. Tomcat 7 + MySQL 5. 6.2.x GIT ID: a752d334a4114ec344655a90a00959df7d01ff09.

Yes!!!! It works... 6.1.1 GA2 will have it...

Hi Drew,

I thought I had downloaded 6.1.x branch cause I got liferay-liferay-portal-6.1.0-rc1-1926-gb237eb9.zip file which is in effect Liferay 6.2.0 and not 6.1.0
I confirm that above 6.2.0 version works fine...

As I figured out that it was 6.2.0 I then downloaded the 6.1.x version switching branch and have reinstalled this file liferay-liferay-portal-6.1.0-ga1-5-g46d3a71.zip
Installed and tested, the issue is still there....

It is not fixed in 6.1.x but is in 6.2.x...
Fixed by . Above is not completely true...

downloaded and installed both trunk 6.2.x and liferay-liferay-portal-6.1.0-rc1-1926-gb237eb9.zip from GITHUB...

Both work fine...

Took me a while but am getting a grasp of it... Git, svn and 6.1 6.2 versions and stuff...

So many things to learn...
