Enable supported Object entities in Data Migration Center

Description

The goal of this Epic is to provide support in the import/export center for a sub-set of headless entities to make sure users can correctly operate with them.

In this Epic we will:

  • Restrict all entities from the selector so only the ones we tested 100% are available to the user.

  • Add support for Object definitions to be able to export and import them

  • Add support for Object entries to be able to export and import them

  • NestedFields?

  • Extended properties in system objects?

  

In the import/export center we have just scope for sites (and not including the global site). Without these parameters, users can't work correctly with out tool.

 

We will use common components to provide a solution. The UX improvements will be managed in this Epic:

, they can start using it now. It’s true that is in Beta and we have some limitations and maybe some bugs must to be fixed but it’s functional and works in most of the cases. We are working on it in order to improve and add new options.

We want to change the feature from Beta to Release at the end of Q2 but we are not sure if we will achieve this goal or not.

Hi . The feature is available since 2024.Q1 under Beta FF. If you want to test it , just active the feature flag and, any doubt, please let me know.

Although the epic status is Closed, should be Beta because DMC is under Beta FF. We will remove the Beta FF when we’ll finish the improvements (tentative: end of 24Q2)
