Upgrade from 6.1.0 to 6.1.1 VerifyPermission fails with NullPointerException in LayoutStagingHandler

MySQL 5.5, Tomcat 7.0.27 Upgrading from 6.1.0 with multiple portal instances and local live staging enabled

PASSED Manual Testing using the following steps:

  1. Create 2 instances

    1. www.able.com

    2. www.baker.com

  2. www.able.com

    1. Enabled local staging

    2. Added 'Web Content Display' portlet

    3. Added Web Content

    4. Pushed to live

  3. www.baker.com

    1. Enabled local staging

    2. Added 'Web Content Display' portlet

    3. Added Web Content

    4. Pushed to live

  4. Upgrade

Upgrade completed successfully and instances and data remained intact.

PASSED: 6.1.0 CE -> 6.1.1 CE
PASSED: 6.1.0 CE -> 6.1.20 EE
PASSED: 6.1.0 CE -> 6.2.x

After further investigation it is not an issue with staging and instancing. It was an issue with bookmarks being upgraded. has been created to deal with bookmarks isssue. Sorry about the confusion. Thanks.
