PASSED manual testing using the following steps:
1. Copy the liferay dependencies to WebSphere\AppServer\lib\ext
2. Copy portlet.jar to AppServer\java\jre\lib\ext in WAS
3. Start up WAS
4. Thru WAS admin, manually install Liferay-portal-6.0.6.war
5. Shut down WAS
4. Add portal-ext.properties to [liferay]\WEB-INF\classes
5. Restart WAS and run Liferay-portal.war
Reproduced on:
Tomcat 7.0 + MySQL 5. 6.1.0GA1.
I got the same error as in description.
Fixed on:
Tomcat 7.0 + MySQL 5. 6.1.x GIT ID: 74db3391fdb2aac5d417636c22ceb59fbde9a306.
Tomcat 7.0 + MySQL 5. 6.2.x GIT ID: 47fc8ebb5f3802a1c4b7bb82535eab68403b68db.
No such error occurs in log.
